PADI Instructor Course (IDC)

The PADI Instructor Course is the world’s leading SCUBA Instructor program. Thousands of dive enthusiast successfully take this course every year.

At Magic Oceans we have refined the Instructor Course to make sure that you get the everything you need to be successful. It is comprised of 3 separate courses, the Emergency First Response Instructor Course, the PADI Assistant Instructor Course and then the PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor Course. It is possible to take these courses separately but, it’s best and more convenient to take them all combined into the PADI Instructor Development Course.

IDC at Magic OceansWe run the instructor course to coincide with the PADI Instructor Exam, which is a 2-day written & practical exam conducted by a PADI staff member. It is pass or fail, but no need to worry yourself about that. You will have just spent the last 10 days refining your knowledge and skills to make sure you cruise through the exam with ease.

To begin your instructor course, you start with the PADI Instructor Development Course Online. This will prepare you for your arrival at Magic Oceans and can be done in the comfort of your own home. It is also a good idea to take the PADI Theory Online, especially if it’s been a while since your Dive Master Course. However, if you feel your dive theory is already up to scratch then, it is not required. I would like to say at this point, the theory exams are the most failed part of the course!

During the course…..

During the instructor course, you will learn to conduct presentations in the classroom, swimming pool and of course, the ocean. By playing both the part of the instructor and the student you earn your teaching skills and have fun along the way. PADI has developed a teaching system where we can give you feedback immediately. This allows you to adjust your presentation as needed and leave with the confidence of a seasoned PADI Pro.

A detailed schedule will be given out once you have signed up for your course. Allowing you to plan for what’s coming up each day. It also allows you to look how much practice is left and request for more if you feel the need. Having such a detailed yet flexible schedule is what makes our Instructor course both unique and successful.
