Daytrips Magic Oceans

When you arrive on the island of Bohol you will be amazed by how lush and green it is. As you drive to the resort along the beautiful coastline it is clear to see that the main industry of the island is farming. You will pass by fields of rice, watermelons, peanuts and bananas to name a few of the crops grown here. You might be lucky enough to get a glimpse of the locals still using the traditional farming methods that have been passed down through generations.
We are situated in Anda, known as the “Jewel of Bohol”. Anda is located on a small peninsula on the Eastern tip of Bohol. It is still a hidden gem away from the main touristic areas, even though there is a beautiful untouched white sand beach, amazing view points and outstanding diving.
During your stay with us there are many options for tours you can enjoy to learn more about the locality or the island of Bohol as a whole.

If you mention Bohol to anyone who has visited the Philippines they will immediately ask if you saw the Chocolate Hills and the Tarsier’s. The three go hand in hand. On our Sightseeing tour you can relax in the comfort of an air conditioned car or van and spend the day touring around the island to visit all the sights. During the day you will visit the Tarsier Sanctuary to catch a glimpse of the worlds smallest primate in its natural habitat, see some of the 1,268 Chocolate Hills from the viewing platform, visit a butterfly farm, enjoy a local buffet lunch and entertainment whilst floating down the green Loboc River and have the opportunity to see a troop of Macaque monkeys. You will also drive through the Manmade Forest and make a stop at Lake pillar.

For those of you who want to see the sights but also throw in an adrenaline rush we offer our Adventure Tour.  Like the sightseeing tour you will visit the Tarsier Sanctuary, but then you will work up and appetite for lunch by ziplining across the Loboc River, and back again – or you can take the cable car.  Then you will head down onto the Loboc River for a local buffet lunch and entertainment as you wend you way downriver.  Once refreshed you will get to see the world famous Chocolate Hills but after seeing them from the viewing platform you will head back down and then race around them onboard your own quad bike – or share a dune buggy with a friend.  You will also spend some time with a troop of Macaque monkeys, drive through the Manmade Forest and make a stop at Lake Pillar.

For those of you who want to see something of the “real” Philippines we have the perfect local tour for you.  After lunch we leave the resort, taking a local form of transport known as a Jeepney, we head to a local village where you will board a boat and be taken out on the water to view their seaweed farm.  After touring the seaweed farm and viewing a floating fish farm you will head down river through the mangroves to the house of the local Barangay Captain for dinner.  Once you have enjoyed a feast of crab, chicken and other traditional delicacies you will once again head out onto the river to view the natural wonder of fireflies.  They light up the trees on the river in their thousands, no words can describe how magical the sight truly is.

One of the sights to see in Anda is Lamanok Island. Dubbed as Bohol’s “cradle of civilization” this mystical island is rich in beauty and heritage. It is believed that during pre-colonial times, Lamanok served as a holy spot for local priests and medicine men to make offerings to nature spirits. These mystical creatures were often called upon for bountiful harvest or a good catch.
Today you can still see evidence of this inside the caves, with wooden boat coffins and prehistoric hematite paintings.
Whilst there you can also enjoy some time snorkeling and swimming before having a barbecue lunch.
